I can't say I've felt anything this lightweight and breathable before, kind of feeling like the ripstop nylon used to create a seriously durable kite. A very technical kite. Love this one it'll be one of the most essential pieces of gear in your gear closet.

One of the most affordable wind resistant and water resistant jackets you'll find. A rollaway hood, zippered stash pockets, and a bit of reflective detail. The gathered edges keep wind out. It's not the fanciest on this list, but it's worth a look if you're looking for a not-so-expensive option. 

Take these to the wettest trail you can find, and there you'll find a lightweight, quickly draining sneaker by TopoAthletics. This brand wants to help you dominate the trails, and I can say that they perform really well on course. First the ergonomic big toe box is great for trail running and lows a more natural motion with your foot strike and push through. And the really really low drop (we're talking 0-5mm) helps do the same.
